Target Signs 99,677 SF Lease for New San Francisco Metreon Store
April 18, 2011 – Matt Kircher with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Target Corporation in the new lease of 99,677 square feet of space on the entire second floor of the Metreon in San Francisco. The Metreon is located at Fourth, Mission and Howard Streets and is owned by Westfield Metreon, which is currently underway with a massive multi-million dollar renovation on the entire project. This will be Target’s first San Francisco location and among its first urban-centered stores. The Metreon is located adjacent to he Moscone Center, San Francisco Marriott, and about a block from the Westfield San Francisco Shopping Centre.

Orchard Supply Hardware Filling Former Mervyn’s Site at Princeton Plaza this Fall
April 18, 2011 – Jon Stansbury and James Gaglione with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner Pan Cal Princeton Plaza, LLC in the long-term lease of 53,477 was formerly a Mervyn’s, which closed its doors at this particular location roughly two years ago. Orchard Supply Hardware is scheduled to fill the once vacated space this fall. The Princeton Plaza Mall is a ±214,000-square-foot center located at 1375 Blossom Hill Road, wedged between major arterials Blossom Hill Road, Meridian Avenue and Kooser Avenue. Co-tenants include a vibrant mix of national and independent retailers: Walgreens, Party City, Michael’s, Blockbuster, Starbucks and McDonalds, and other unique retailers.

buybuyBaby Set for New Store Opening at Laguna Crossroads this Summer
April 18, 2011 – Don Krieger and Drew Greenspan with Terranomics Retail Services, the exclusive tenant representative(s) of buybuyBaby in Northern California, represented them in a new lease of 27,000 square feet at the Laguna Crossroads shopping center in Elk Grove. The property is owned by Donahue Schriber. buybuyBaby penned a long-term deal on its new space and is scheduled to open its doors to shoppers early this summer. They will join other major tenants at Laguna Crossroads such as Target, Save Mart, Michael’s Crafts, Petco, Orchard Supply Hardware. Terranomics exclusively represents Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuyBaby in Northern California.

AutoZone Revs Up Bay Area Locations with Two New Sites; San Jose and Daly City
April 18, 2011 – Jon Stansbury and James Gaglione with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant AutoZone in two new lease transactions in San Jose and Daly City. In the first transaction, AutoZone signed a long-term lease of 17,580 square feet at 2277 Alum Rock Avenue in East San Jose from owner FBJ Alum Rock, LLC. In the second transaction, AutoZone signed a long-term lease for the 14,381-square-foot former Rite-Aid space at 6212 Mission Street in Daly City from landlord Excelsior Properties.

AutoZone Remains in Zone on Continuous Expansion with New Store Outside Yuba City
April 18, 2011 – Blair Wheatley and James Teare, SCLS with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant AutoZone in a new lease of a 9,520-square-foot freestanding building located at the Town & Country Center in Colusa, about 20 miles northwest of Yuba City. The space is located at 1013 Bridge Street. The property is owned by Snyder Commercial Real Estate. AutoZone signed a long-term lease agreement and will begin occupancy in July.

@First Gives Strong Tenant Roster Extra Balance with Addition of Chase Bank
April 18, 2011 – Todd Oliver and James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services has represented property owner Hunter Storm Properties in the lease of 5,000 square feet of pad space at the new @First mixed-use project in North San Jose. The new tenant is Chase Bank, which penned a long-term lease agreement. Chase Bank joins an already long roster of new tenants committed to the high-profile project, including Sweet Tomatoes, Five Guys, Chipotle, Panda Express, Chik-fil-A, Panera Bread and Premier Pizza. The project is also home to Brocade’s new office headquarters built in mid 2010 as well as the new Sierra Hotel.

Massage Envy Far From Relaxing NorCal Presence; Adds New Peninsula Location
April 18, 2011 – Todd Oliver, James Chung and Matt Taylor with Terranomics Retail Services have worked together to lease Massage Envy a 4,475-square-foot freestanding building at 1209 Howard Avenue in Burlingame. The property is owned by Andrews & Brod, et al. Massage Envy is scheduled to open its newest Peninsula location in July. Todd Oliver represented the Landlord in this transaction. This is one of several new convenient locations that Matt Taylor and James Chung of Terranomics have assisted Massage Envy in opening in Northern California over the past few years.

Collectors Choice Antiques Chooses Downtown Lafayette Site for Modern Store
April 18, 2011 – John Schaefer with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner Lafayette Investment Group, LLC in the new lease of 3,824 square feet of inline space to tenant Collectors Choice Antiques in downtown Lafayette. The premier site is well located at 3574 Mount Diablo Boulevard, less than two blocks from Lafayette BART and Highway 24’s Central Lafayette exit with an abundance of new and established retail and restaurants in walking distance. It is situated in a high net worth demographic area. Lafayette is about three miles west of Walnut Creek.

Union Bank Sailing in to Argonaut Shopping Center in Saratoga
April 18, 2011 – Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant Union Bank in its new lease of 3,708 square feet of pad space at the Argonaut Shopping Center in Saratoga. The Center is located at 12868-12876 Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road at Blauer Drive and is anchored by Safeway and CVS/pharmacy. The owner is Gram Argonaut, LLC / CBJ Family, LP.

BSG’s CosmoProf Coming to Folsom Square this Summer
April 18, 2011 – Bob Dong and Jared Dong with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant CosmoProf in the lease of 3,068 square feet of inline space at the Folsom Square shopping Center. The property is located at NWC East Bidwell Street and Blue Ravine. CosmoProf is a subsidiary of Beauty Systems Group, the largest full-service beauty supplier in the world. CosmoProf sells exclusive salon brands to licensed beauty professionals through more than 130 stores in Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Southern California, Arizona, Michigan, Florida, Canada, and Nevada.

Doctor’s Express Opening Urgent Care/Health Clinic at Sacramento’s Bradville Square
April 18, 2011 – Dave Scanlon and Blair Wheatley with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner Passco Companies, LLC in the lease of 2,800 square feet of end cap space to tenant Doctors Express at the Bradville Square shopping center in Sacramento. The property is located at the SEC Bradshaw Road and Old Placerville Road. Doctors Express is a medical franchise composed of urgent care clinics and primary health clinics.

Pizza My Heart Embraces New Safeway-Anchored Mixed-Use Center in Burlingame
April 18, 2011 – Todd Oliver and Mike Costa with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner Safeway, Inc. in a new long-term lease of 2,082 square feet of end cap space to tenant Pizza My Heart at 1450 Howard Street, part of a new Safeway-anchored mixed-use shopping center located in the heart of downtown Burlingame. The property is well located at Howard Avenue and Primrose Road. Vibrant retail surrounds the area with quality national and local tenants including Apple, Sephora, Anthropologie, J Crew, and more.

Jimboy’s Tacos Franchisee Purchases Building in Woodland; Returns Chain to Location
April 18, 2011 – Blair Wheatley and James Teare, SCLS with Terranomics Retail Services represented the buyer, a Jimboy’s Tacos franchisee, in the purchase of a 3,563-square-foot freestanding restaurant building at 85 West Court Street in Woodland for $425,000 ($119 per square foot). Prior to being leased to Q Shack BBQ, the property, under a separate ownership, had been leased by a Jimboy’s restaurant, which was operated by a different franchisee than the new buyer. The property is located just east of the SWC of Court Street and California Street has great visibility on Court Street. Starting over 50 years ago in then a 16-foot trailer converted into a mobile kitchen and soon thereafter a permanent home in Lake Tahoe, Jimboy’s is most famous for its fresh ingredients, cook-to-order method, and its ground beef tacos.
