ATWATER (Merced County) - Sports retailer Big 5 inked a lease for a 10k sf inline store at Applegate Ranch, located at the southeast corner of Hwy 99 and Applegate Rd. The 495k sf center is brand new and includes a Super Target, Marshall's and Petco. Big 5 is scheduled to open in December. Carmen Decker and Matt Kircher of Terranomics Retail Services represented the owner, Regency Centers.
VANCOUVER, WA (Clark County) - The Garozza Family Trust paid $2.6 mil for a 3.1k sf retail building NNN leased to El Pollo Loco in a sale/leaseback deal. The property is situated along 164th Ave. James Gaglione of Terranomics, along with Dave Geissberger and Dan Persyn of NAI BT Commercial, repped the buyer in the deal. The seller, Vancouver El Pollo Loco Lot B Partners LP, was represented by Marcus & Millichap.
SUNNYVALE (Santa Clara County) - A 0.72-acre gas station facility located at 696 W. El Camino real sold for $1.4 mil ($44/sf). The site will be redeveloped by the buyer, Behzad Askarinam, into new retail/office space. Mike Costa of Terranomics and Andy Bogardus of NAI BT Commercial represented the seller, Valero refining Company. This is the second Valero gas site that Costa and Bogardus have sold in the city of Sunnyvale this summer.
