  Plaza Escuela, a 2-year-old upscale retail center in downtown Walnut Creek, is for sale. The 154,000-square-foot complex, which is anchored by an Andronico's grocery store, will be marketed by BT Commercial Real Estate, the firm said Friday. The complex, which sits at the corner of Locust Street and Olympic Boulevard, was completed in 2002 and is owned by a partnership controlled by the family of William Schlangen of Kenwood. BT Commercial said that there is no asking price but that closed bids would be accepted in mid-May with the aim of completing a transaction by mid-July.

The share price of Ipix Corp. (IPIX), a San Ramon-based provider of video and surveill technology, plummeted Friday in the wake of the company's Thursday-afternoon repor quarter financial results. Ipix's stock closed at $11.05 a share, down $5.25, or 32 perc Thursday's close, as disappointed investors went on a selling binge after the company loss of $3.6 million, or 41 cents a share, on sales of $722,000 during the period that e The company was hit by the termination of a selling deal with eBay Inc. that existed a when the company posted a net loss of $72,000, or a penny a share, on sales of $6.4.
