24 Hour Fitness Works Out New ±56,000 SF Lease in Pleasanton for Spring 2009

Pleasanton, CA - September 24, 2008 - James Chung and Mike Costa with Terranomics Retail Services have represented 24 Hour Fitness USA, Inc. in a new lease totaling 56,206 square feet at 4770 Willow Road in Pleasanton. The property's owner is 24 Ventures, LLC. This new 24 Hour Fitness facility will model the club's Super Sport design. The long-term transaction has a commencement date set for May 2009 and will be 24 Hour Fitness' second Pleasanton location, with another club currently existing at 5680 Las Positas Boulevard. 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide is the world's largest privately owned and operated fitness center chain.


Grocery Outlet Takes Over Former Yardbirds Site in Vallejo

Vallejo, CA - September 24, 2008 - Patrick McGaughey and Sam Finne with Terranomics Retail Services brokered the long-term sublease of a 38,700 square foot freestanding, single-story retail building located at 66 Admiral Callahan Lane in Vallejo. McGaughey and Finne represented the sublessor, The Home Depot. The subtenant is Grocery Outlet, Inc. The site, which is situated near the meeting of Tennessee Street and I-80, was formerly home to Yardbirds. The 3.06-acre property features good parking, fenced storage area, and is highly visible from I-80. Grocery Outlet will open later this year.


Amici's to Open Pizzeria in Downtown Menlo Park in 2009

Menlo Park, CA - September 24, 2008 - Mike Costa and Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services represented landlord Redwire International, LLC in the long term lease of 5,089 square feet of restaurant space to Amici's East Coast Pizzeria. The site is located at 880 Santa Cruz Avenue in the heart of downtown Menlo Park. Amici's should open in the first quarter of 2009.


Prime Shine Express Carwash Driving in to Manteca 's Woodbridge Center East

Manteca , CA - September 24, 2008 - James Teare, SCLS and Blair Wheatley with Terranomics Retail Services have brokered the ground lease of a 28,314 square foot parcel within the Woodbridge Center East situated at North Union Road and Lathrop Road in Manteca. Teare and Wheatley represented the landlord, Woodbridge Center East, LLC in the long-term lease transaction. The tenant is Norman B. Porges Trust dba Prime Shine Express Carwash, whose term commences in spring 2009. Prime Shine Express has been washing cars in the Central Valley for over 15 years and per its website, Woodbridge Center East would be its first Manteca location.


AT&T Mobility Rings In at Corte Madera Town Center

Corte Madera, CA - September 24, 2008 - John Schaefer, Mark Koenig and Jennifer Hibbitts with Terranomics Retail Services represented tenant AT&T Mobility in the long-term lease of 5,193 square feet of in-line space at the Corte Madera Town Center retail project located at 120 Corte Madera Town Center Drive. The Center is managed by Madison Marquette. AT&T Mobility is scheduled for occupancy later this year. AT&T Mobility is relocating its Grand Avenue store in San Rafael . Their 4th Street store in San Rafael will remain open.


Nama Sushi Rolling in to Daly City 's Pacific Plaza

Daly City, CA - September 24, 2008 - Mike Costa and Katie Walsh with Terranomics Retail Services represented both parties in the new long-term lease of 2,500 square feet of end cap space within the Pacific Plaza center located at 2001 Junipero Serra Boulevard in Daly City. The owner of the mixed-use retail/office project is RREEF. Nama Sushi is scheduled to join co-tenants such as Century Theatres, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Coldstone Creamery, and Round Table Pizza in January 2009.


Jenny Craig Adds New Location at The Mark etplace in Corte Madera

Corte Madera, CA - September 24, 2008 - Jennifer Hibbitts with Terranomics Retail Services represented owner IJ Marketplace, LLC in the lease of 2,718 square feet of in-line space to Jenny Craig at The Marketplace in Corte Madera retail center located at 41-71 Tamal Vista Boulevard. Jenny Craig is scheduled for occupancy this December. Situated within a strong retail area, The Marketplace provides visibility from Highway 101 and includes co-tenants Any Mountain, Book Passage, and Izzy's Steaks & Chops.


BSG's CosmoProf Coming to Antioch 's Eastwood Center

Antioch, CA - September 24, 2008 - Katie Walsh with Terranomics Retail Services represented Beauty Systems Group, LLC in the new lease of 2,760 square feet of retail pad space at the Eastwood Center located at 1840 A Street in Antioch. The landlord is Eastwood, LLC. Beauty Systems Group (BSG), the largest full-service beauty supplier in the world, will be operating its CosmoProf brand at the Center with an opening in January 2009.  BSG had acquired CosmoProf at the start of 2005 to expand its geography in the western United States.


Huntington Learning Centers Makes the Grade at Main Street Shopping Center

San Jose, CA - September 24, 2008 - Sharon Carmichael with Terranomics Retail Services represented both landlord, Keenan Land Company, and tenant, Huntington Learning Centers, in the new lease of 2,365 square feet of in-line space at the Main Street Shopping Center located at Main Street and Blossom Hill Road in San Jose's southern region. Huntington Learning Centers is opening in late October.
