Former Home Depot Property Sold to Walmart in Salinas
Salinas, CA - December 4, 2008 - Patrick McGaughey and Sam Finne with Terranomics Retail Services have successfully represented Home Depot in the sale of its former 102,180 square foot building and 28,336 square foot garden center at the Harden Ranch Plaza in Salinas to Walmart. The property sold for an undisclosed price. Home Depot had relocated to Boronda Crossings, a new shopping center on the west side of the freeway, two years ago. Walmart does not yet have an official opening date for their new store.
Harden Ranch Plaza is situated at the SEC Boronda Road and San Juan Grade Road. Co-tenants of the project include Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Party City and Marshall's. The property sits on a primary retail arterial directly across from the Northridge Mall, with close proximity to Westridge Shopping Center and Santa Rita Plaza.
Chipotle Opening New Location in Palo Alto Along El Camino Real
Palo Alto, CA - December 4, 2008 - Sharon Carmichael and Michael Seigel with Terranomics Retail Services represented specialty food chain Chipotle Mexican Grill in a new retail lease at 2675 El Camino Real in Palo Alto. Chipotle plans for an opening in the second quarter of 2009. This is one of many new recent locations selected in the Bay Area by Chipotle, as it successfully continues its goal of expanding locations. Chipotle, the world's leading restaurant supplier of naturally raised meats, opened its first restaurant in 1993 and currently operates more than 670 restaurants.
