Chipotle Expanding at 6 New Bay Area Locations, More to Come
Bay Area, CA January 29, 2008 Sharon Carmichael and Michael Seigel with Terranomics Retail Services have represented specialty food chain Chipotle Mexican Grill in several new lease transactions at various sites throughout the Bay Area. The Denver, Colorado-based Chipotle will be opening at a handful of new locations to include: the City of Campbell's The Onyx on Bascom & Campisi; in the City of San Jose on The Alameda (at Morrison) and another at the Camden Park shopping center; the Westlake Shopping Center in Daly City; the Dublin Town Square Target Center; and the San Carlos Mark et Place. Chipotle also has plans for more Bay Area locales in the coming months. Chipotle, the world's leading restaurant supplier of naturally raised meats, opened its first restaurant in 1993 and currently operates more than 670 restaurants. Chipotle's goal is to serve 100 percent naturally raised meat in all of its restaurants, a mission it calls Food with Integrity, which began in 2000.
Game On for GameStop and Wells Fargo at New Target-Anchored Center in Richmond
Richmond, CA January 29, 2008 Matt Kircher and Katie Walsh with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner SPI Richmond Associates, L.P. in two new long-term lease transactions at the new Target-anchored retail center located at Macdonald Ave. and I-80 in Richmond, CA. GameStop, Inc. signed a new lease of 1,200 square feet of in-line space, which is set to commence September 2008, and Wells Fargo Bank leased a 4,995 square foot freestanding building that is on schedule to open Fall 2008. The new center, which is scheduled for delivery in June 2008, is already having very successful leasing activity and has just a few shop spaces available.
Amici's to Serve Up Italian Flavor at New, Flourishing Civic Park in Cupertino
Cupertino, CA January 29, 2008 Todd Oliver and Mike Costa with Terranomics Retail Services recently represented property owner Civic Park Cupertino, LLC in a new long-term lease totaling 4,270 square feet to Amici's Italian Restaurant at the new and flourishing Civic Park mixed-use retail/residential project. Civic Park is located on the busy De Anza Blvd. @ Civic Park Lane , across the way from the Cupertino Civic Center. This is Civic Park 's second restaurant commitment in a few months time as it also recently added the Japanese-style Curry House a few months ago.
Morgan Hill Retail Power Center Adding More Tenants as Part of Phase I
Morgan Hill, CA January 29, 2008 Matt Kircher and Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services represented Browman Development in two new lease transactions by the Men's Wearhouse and Wachovia Bank at the South Bay's new Morgan Hill Retail Power Center located at Hwy 101 & Cochrane Ave. in the City of Morgan Hill. Oliver also solely represented both tenants in these transactions. The Men's Wearhouse leased 5,000 square feet of in-line space at the center with an opening scheduled for May 2008. Wachovia Bank inked a long-term ground lease transaction that includes plans to construct a freestanding building this year with an opening set for September 2008. The Morgan Hill Retail Center is currently underway with construction of Phase I that is scheduled to be completed later in 2008. Tenants including Target, Petco, Starbucks, GNC, Payless Shoe Source, Sleep Train Mattress Co and Chili's have already opened their doors to customers, with more tenants such as Circuit City , Staples, DSW Shoes, Red Robin., GNC, and Jamba Juice scheduled to open soon.
Sandalwood Spa to Open at Radisson Hotel Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco
San Francisco, CA January 29, 2008 Rhonda Diaz and Jennifer Hibbitts with Terranomics Retail Services represented owner W.W. Wharf GL, a Delaware Corporation, in the lease of 1,435 square feet of ground floor retail space to tenant Sandalwood Spa at the Radisson Hotel Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. Sandalwood Spa will open April 2008. Other tenants at the project include Gap, Johnny Rockets, Ben & Jerry's, Pick A Pearl, and Crazy Shirts.
Vintage Oaks at Novato Renews GNC and adds Bath & Body Works
Novato, CA January 29, 2008 Mark Koenig and John Schaefer with Terranomics Retail Services represented owner James Campbell Company, LLC in two lease transactions at the Vintage Oaks at Novato power retail center in Novato, CA involving General Nutrition Center (GNC) and Bath & Body Works. Existing tenant, GNC, the largest global specialty retailer of nutritional products, inked a five year lease renewal for their existing 1,078 square foot space, and Bath & Body Works signed a new long-term lease at the center totaling 2,522 square feet. GNC has been a tenant at the center since 1994, while Bath & Body Works will open to customers in March 2008.
Starbucks Adds Location on Alum Rock Corner in East San Jose
San Jose, CA January 29, 2008 Jessica Perry and Staci Eisler Cole of the Starbucks Team with Terranomics Retail Services represented popular coffee retailer Starbucks in a new long-term lease of 1,575 square feet located in east San Jose at the busy corner of Alum Rock & White Rd. in the Alum Rock area a traffic corridor between homes in the eastern hills and the city's downtown. The location is also considered as the main intersection in the Alum Rock redevelopment area. The owner of the property is family-owned specialty retail developer Lamorinda Development. Starbucks will open at this site in spring 2008.
Nubi Yogurt Opening at Retail Center on Broadway, Millbrae
Millbrae, CA January 29, 2008 James Chung and Mike Costa with Terranomics Retail Services represented property owner Simeon Commercial Properties in a 1,300 square foot in-line retail lease to Lush Yogurt, Inc. dba Nubi Yogurt at a commercial retail center located at 979 Broadway Ave. in Millbrae, CA. Nubi Yogurt was represented by Drew Greenspan also of Terranomics. The two-story retail center which already features tenants 24 Hour Fitness, Perfect Day Spa and Red Brick Pizzais currently 95% complete with its new modernizing renovation.
