Old Navy and TJ Maxx Newest Anchors at Alameda Towne Centre
Alameda, CA March 5, 2007 Sharon Carmichael and Michael Seigel with Terranomics Retail Services represented Harsch Investment Realty (Landlord) in two new lease transactions at the Alameda Towne Centre at Park St. and Otis Dr. in Alameda. In the first transaction, Old Navy leased 15,700 square feet of anchor space and is scheduled to open in April 2007. The second deal was from TJ Maxx, which leased a total of 30,000 square feet of anchor retail space. TJ Maxx is scheduled to open its doors to shoppers August 2007.
The 712,000 square-foot Alameda Towne Centre is currently underway with a complete renovation and expansion, headed by architect Field Paoli, to create a World-Class Lifestyle Center featuring new upscale retailers and eateries offering dining al-fresco with views of the San Francisco Bay. Alameda Towne Centre is in the process of adding over 30 exciting new stores. The Centre provides beach front views of the San Francisco Bay.
Riverbank Crossings Adds Staples as Anchor
Riverbank, CA – March 5, 2007 – Matt Kircher, Carmen Decker and James Chung with Terranomics Retail Services represented Browman Development (Landlord) in the lease of 20,000 square feet of retail space to Staples (Tenant) at Riverbank Crossings shopping center at NEC Oakdale & Claribel. Staples will co-anchor the 630,000 square foot center alongside Target, Home Depot, Kohl’s, and Petco and will join a long list of popular retailers such as Starbucks, Payless Shoe Source, Radio Shack, Applebee’s, Red Robin, and Cold Stone Creamery.
Work World America Leased 11K SF in Santa Rosa, Across from Santa Rosa Market Place
Santa Rosa, CA – March 5, 2007 – John Schaefer and Mark Koenig with Terranomics Retail Services along with Paul Gonzalez of NAI BT Commercial represented Ira Scholnick (Landlord) in the lease of 11,020 square feet of retail space to World Work America, Inc. (Tenant) at 1993 Santa Rosa Ave., Santa Rosa, CA. The address, formerly home to Superpets, is right next door to existing tenant Shoe Pavillion. The property sits directly across the street from the Santa Rosa Market Place, which is home to Costco, Target and Best Buy.
Nonprofit Goodwill Industries Leases Two New Locations in Bay Area- San Francisco & Fairfield
San Francisco, Fairfield, CA – March 5, 2007 – John Schaefer, Mark Koenig and Ariel Fox with Terranomics Retail Services represented The Yarbrough Family Trust (Owner) in the lease of 8,805 square feet of end cap retail space at Oakmont Plaza in Fairfield, CA. The Tenant, Goodwill Industries, one of the world’s largest nonprofit providers of education, training, and career services for people with disadvantages, was represented by Jim Dean with NAI BT Commercial Real Estate. Goodwill is scheduled to take occupancy March 2007.
In a second transaction involving the nonprofit organization, Todd Oliver and Matt Taylor with Terranomics Retail Services represented Goodwill Industries in the lease of 5,945 square feet of end cap retail space at 1669 Fillmore St. in San Francisco, CA. Goodwill is relocating its operations from right across the street and is scheduled to take tenancy at its new building summer 2007. The Landlord is Charter Properties.
Sleep Train Scheduled to Arrive at The Marketplace at Cotati Commons in 2008
Cotati, CA – March 5, 2007 – Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services represented Sleep Train Mattress Co. in the lease of a 5,700 square foot freestanding retail building situated within The Marketplace at Cotati Commons at Hwy 116 & Redwood Dr. in Cotati, CA. The Landlord is Newman Development Group of Cotati, LLC. Sleep Train plans to occupy the building in February 2008.
Bed, Bath & Beyond to Add First Store in Clovis
Clovis, CA – March 5, 2007 – Bed, Bath & Beyond, exclusively represented by Don Krieger with Terranomics Retail Services, leased 28,000 square feet of retail space at NEC Herndon and Clovis in Clovis, CA. Bed, Bath & Beyond will take tenancy fall 2008 at a new Center yet to be built, which will sit across from the existing Clovis-Herndon Shopping Center. The Landlord is Clovis-Herndon Center LLC. According to its website, this will be BBB’s first Clovis location, with other stores currently located nearby in the cities of Fresno and Visalia.
Tiare Development LLC Acquired 2.3-Acre Land Site in Turlock, CA
Turlock, CA – March 5, 2007 – Jon Stansbury with Terranomics Retail Services brokered the sale of a 2.3-acre retail site at 99 Golden State & Hawkeye in Turlock, CA. Stansbury represented the Buyer, Tiare Development, LLC. The Seller was VIG-Golden State, LLC. The site sold for $1,695,000, which amounts to $16.92 per square foot. Terranomics has also subsequently listed the property for Tiare Development LLC and is marketing the site to Tenants for Build-To-Suit or Ground Lease.
