Old Navy to Dock at new Marina University Villages at Former Fort Ord
Marina Hill, CA – May 18, 2007 – Staci Eisler Cole and Drew Greenspan with Terranomics Retail Services represented Old Navy LLC in the lease transaction of 15,007 square feet of in-line retail space at the new Marina University Villages located at the former Fort Ord base along Hwy 1 in Marina, CA. The Landlord is Shea Properties. The multi-use University Villages is currently under construction with Old Navy scheduled to take occupancy at the new project in mid-summer 2008. According to its website, this will be Old Navy’s second Monterey County location, with an existing store located at the Northridge Mall in Salinas.
Staples & Site for Sore Eyes See Future at M.H. Retail Power Center
Morgan Hill , CA – May 18, 2007 – Matt Kircher, Todd Oliver and Carmen Decker with Terranomics Retail Services represented Browman Development (Landlord) in two new lease transactions at the new Morgan Hill Power Retail Center at Hwy 101 and Cochrane in Morgan Hill, CA. In the first transaction, Staples, represented by the Staubach Company, leased 20,388 square feet of in-line retail space within the center. The second deal came from retail optical franchise Site for Sore Eyes, represented by Jessica Perry and Drew Greenspan of Terranomics, on a lease of 2,000 square feet of in-line space.
Pleasanton Square Shopping Center Rounds Up Two New Tenants
Pleasonton, CA – May 18, 2007 – Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services brokered two new retail transactions on behalf of Reynolds & Brown (Owner) at the Pleasanton Square shopping center located at Hopyard Rd. & I-580 in Pleasanton. The transactions consisted of two new tenants, Arizona Leather Company, Inc., which leased 4,538 square feet of end cap space, and Scottrade, which leased 1,798 square feet of in-line space. Both tenants will take occupancy in late summer 2007. Pleasanton Square is anchored by Home Depot and Comp USA, with other tenants including Beverages & More, Sleep Train Mattress Co., and S&G Discount Outlet, Inc.
The Reserve Art Gallery & Restaurant Paints Long-Term Lease in Downtown San Jose
San Jose , CA – May 18, 2007 – James Gaglione with Terranomics Retail Services teamed up with Kevin Sweatt of NAI BT Commercial San Jose in the long-term lease of a 4,120 square foot freestanding retail building located at 32 S. Third St. in San Jose. The property is known as the L&R Building. Gaglione and Sweatt represented the Landlord, The Ross Living Trust. The Tenant is Origami A&E Group, LLC (dba) The Reserve Art Gallery & Restaurant, which will take occupancy in July 2007.
Union Bank of California Leased 4,200 SF at Camden Park in San Jose
San Jose , CA – May 18, 2007 – Sharon Carmichael, James Chung and Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services teamed up to broker the 4,200 square foot lease transaction on the end cap retail space at the Camden Park shopping center in San Jose. Carmichael and Chung represented the Owner, Red Tree Properties, LP and Oliver represented the Tenant, Union Bank of California. Union Bank took occupancy at the start of May 2007.
Promenade @ Sacramento Gateway Center Continues Successful Tenancy
Sacramento, CA – May 18, 2007 – Bob Dong and Jared Dong with Terranomics Retail Services represented CLPF – Promenade, L.P. (Owner) in the lease of a 6,532 square foot freestanding building located at Truxel Rd. @ I-80, in The Promenade @ Sacramento Gateway shopping center. The Tenant is Mizu, a sushi restaurant. The Promenade is a newly constructed 663,000 square foot, 126-acre mixed-use project fronting Interstate 80 and Gateway Park Boulevard at the Truxel Road on/off ramp and includes Sams’ Club, Target, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, and Old Navy.
The Promenade is located across the street from the Natomas Marketplace power center (±556,000-square foot retail center). The project falls within the more than 9,000 acre North Natomas Specific Plan, one of the largest master-planned areas close to a metropolitan center in the entire country.
Starbucks Adds Two Stores in Northern California

Greenspan represented the Seller, East Bay Equities. The Buyer was Valley Connection, LLC – Carl’s Jr. The site was occupied by a 3,170 square foot Wendy’s Restaurant, in which the new buyer will convert into a Carl’s Jr. Restaurant.
