Riverbank Crossings Increases Tenancy Count with Petco Lease, Riverbank

Riverbank, CA – September 7, 2006 – Matt Kircher and Steve Cutter with Terranomics Retail Services represented Browman Development in the lease of 18,000 square feet of inline retail space to Petco (Tenant) at Browman’s Riverbank Crossings. Petco will lease 18,000 square feet for an initial period of 15 years, which will commence in December 2006. Riverbank Crossings has gained exceptional tenancy since leasing efforts first began in mid-2005 with a list of nearly 25 retailers to date. Other tenants include Target, Kohl’s, Home Depot, Petco, Red Robin, Starbucks, Radio Shack, and Payless Shoes to name a few.

Bed, Bath & Beyond to Co-Anchor Alameda Towne Centre, Alameda

Alameda, CA – September 7, 2006 – Sharon Carmichael, Michael Seigel and Don Krieger with Terranomics Retail Services brokered the lease of 28,000 square feet of retail anchor space at the Alameda Towne Centre located at W. Park St. and Otis Dr. in the City of Alameda. Carmichael and Seigel both represented the Landlord, Harsch Investment Realty, and Krieger solely represented Bed, Bath & Beyond (Tenant). Bed, Bath & Beyond will fill the space Ross Dress for Less vacated when their lease expired, with construction scheduled to begin in spring 2007 and an estimated opening in July/August 2007.  Bed, Bath & Beyond will serve as a new anchor, the first of many new anchors that Carmichael and Seigel are bringing to this major rehab and re-merchandise project on Alameda Island. Other anchors for the Towne Centre include Safeway Lifestyle Market, Office Max, Mervyn’s, Trader Joe’s, and Big 5 Sporting Goods.

Nation’s Leader Performance Bicycles Pedals into 8,960 SF, Berkeley

Berkeley, CA – September 7, 2006 – Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services represented North Carolina-born Performance Bicycles in the lease of 8,960 square feet of in-line retail space at 1440 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley which will commence in November 2006. The Lessor was PD Wood Properties II, LLC. Performance Bicycles originated 23 years ago in the basement of Garry and Sharon Snook’s home in Chapel Hill, NC. It has since grown into the nation’s leading bicycle mail order and retail company. Performance Bicycles currently has stores in 11 U.S. states.

Sincere Hardware Supply Takes Former Gap Space, San Francisco

San Francisco, CA – September 7, 2006 – Mike Costa with Terranomics Retail Services brokered the lease deal of a 5,000 square foot freestanding retail building at 4224-4228 Geary Blvd. in San Francisco. Costa represented both Sincere Hardware Supply (Tenant) and Rehtak Trust (Owner). Sincere Hardware took tenancy space—former home to Gap, Inc.—at the start of September 2006.  Sincere Hardware started in 1988 as a small plumbing and hardware retail store and has grown into a complete remodeling supply company. Sincere Hardware currently has five other branches in California in the cities of Modesto, Reedly, Sunnyvale and Oakland.

Styles for Less Brings Its Contemporary Shopping Experience to Rocklin

Rocklin, CA – September 7, 2006 – Ariel Fox with Terranomics Retail Services represented Styles for Less in the lease of 2,635 square feet of freestanding retail space at Rocklin’s Blue Oaks Town Center located at the NEC Blue Oaks Blvd. and Hwy 65. Styles for Less leased the space from Rocklin Retail LLC for an agreed term of 60 months. Styles for Less provides a contemporary shopping experience coupled with brand name clothing, accessories, and shoes. Styles for Less opened its first store nearly 14 years ago and currently has 87 stores in California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida, and Puerto Rico, with plans for continued expansion in the coming years.
