Mervyn's to Relocate from Newpark Mall to Redeveloped Mowry Crossing

Newark, CA – October 22, 2007 –John Schaefer and Mark Koenig with Terranomics Retail Services have represented Mervyn's in the long-term lease of an 82,000 square foot retail building within the redeveloped Mowry Crossing shopping center located at NW corner of I-880 and Mowry Ave in Newark, CA. Mervyn's will be relocating from their existing site across the street at the Newpark Mall into their brand new building in summer 2008. Mowry Crossing is currently undergoing a major redevelopment, which included some demolition on the former buildings, and will total roughly 200,000 square feet when complete. The landlord is Toyama Partners (Sand Hill Property Co.).

Cycle Gear Continues Expansion in Northern California

Sacramento , CA – October 22, 2007 –Drew Greenspan and Don Krieger with Terranomics Retail Services represented Cycle Gear, Inc. in the lease of a 26,000 square foot retail anchor site located at 5400 Date Ave. in Sacramento , CA . The landlord is John and Christine Barritt. The co-tenant of the project is Badger John's.  Greenspan and Krieger exclusively represent Cycle Gear— America 's fastest-growing retailer of motorcycle parts, apparel and accessories—which has recently been expanding their store locations throughout northern California.

Circuit City Signs Deal at Morgan Hill Retail Power Center

Morgan Hill, CA – October 22, 2007 – Matt Kircher and Todd Oliver with Terranomics Retail Services represented owner Browman Development in the lease of 20,533 square feet of end cap retail space to Circuit City at the Morgan Hill Retail Power Center, located at NEC Hwy 101 and Cochrane Ave in Morgan Hill, CA. As part of Phase I of the project, Circuit City is scheduled to open its doors in spring of 2008. The Target anchored Power Center already includes a long list of major retailers, such as Petco, Staples, Starbucks, Chili's, GNC, Sleep Train Mattress Centers, and Red Robin.

Old Navy Renews Lease at Vintage Oaks at Novato Shopping Center

Novato, CA – October 22, 2007 – Mark Koenig , John Schaefer and Annie Jabuka with Terranomics Retail Services have teamed up to represent landlord James Campbell Company LLC in the lease renewal of a 13,000 square foot freestanding pad building by Old Navy at the Vintage Oaks at Novato shopping center at the SEC of Highway 101 and Rowland Blvd. in Novato, CA. Old Navy has been a tenant of the center since 1994. Vintage Oaks is a 591,202 square foot center on roughly 48 acres and is Marin County 's dominant regional serving center. Anchors include Costco, Target and Macy's Furniture.

BevMo Leased Space at Blum Properties' Cost Plus Plaza , Greenbrae

Greenbrae, CA – October 22, 2007 – Staci Eisler Cole with Terranomics Retail Services represented landlord Blum Properties, Inc. in a 10,100 square foot retail lease at Cost Plus Plaza located at 2040 Redwood Highway in Greenbrae , CA . The tenant is Beverages & More, Inc., which will take tenancy at the former Barnes & Noble space in late December 2007. Mattress U.S.A. to Join Remodeled Woodland Crossroads Center in 2008

Woodland, CA – October 22, 2007 –Shaun Morrow with Terranomics Retail Services represented both parties in lease of 12,712 square feet of in-line retail space at the Woodland Crossroads shopping center located at the SWC E. Main St. and Matmor Rd. in Woodland , CA . The tenant, Mattress U.S.A. , Inc., leased the space from W.C. Investors, LLC, with a commencement date set for January 1, 2008. The newly remodeled Woodland Crossroads features retailers Ross, Tractor Supply, Office Depot, and Grocery Outlet.

Alamo Group Acquired Former Ace Hardware Building in North Highlands

North Highlands, CA – October 22, 2007 –Shaun Morrow with Terranomics Retail Services represented buyer Alamo Group II in the investment purchase of a 9,000 square foot retail building at 3525 Elkhorn Blvd. in North Highlands , CA . The seller(s) was Tommie Carpenter Sr. and Tommie Carpenter Jr. The property was formerly occupied by an Ace Hardware Store, which had been operated by the Carpenters. (Ace relocated to a new site.) The Elkhorn property, which was vacant at the time of sale, sold for an undisclosed price.
